Terry Hunt Dev provides client services under a written agreement before project work begins. Each client project may have different pricing, milestones, timelines, deliverables, support terms, payment schedules, and technical requirements.

The client agreement, proposal, statement of work, invoice, or contract will define the scope of work for that specific project. Any work not included in the written scope may require a separate quote, change order, additional invoice, or updated agreement.

If there is a conflict between these Terms of Service and a signed client agreement, the signed client agreement will control for that specific project.

4. Payments, Deposits, and Refunds

Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement, Terry Hunt Dev typically requires fifty percent of the project cost upfront before work begins and the remaining fifty percent upon project completion, delivery, launch readiness, or final approval.

Terry Hunt Dev may offer flexible payment structures depending on the project scope, client needs, workload, timeline, or written contract terms. Any alternative payment schedule must be agreed to in writing before the project begins.

Deposits are refundable only if work has not started. Once Terry Hunt Dev begins discovery, planning, strategy, design, development, setup, configuration, meetings, research, technical review, project management, or any other project-related work, the upfront payment or deposit becomes non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the written agreement.

If a project is canceled after work has started, Terry Hunt Dev may, at its discretion, issue a partial refund only for work that has not yet been performed. Completed work, committed time, planning, consulting, design drafts, development work, technical setup, third-party services, software licenses, hosting, domains, transaction fees, and other project-related expenses are non-refundable.

Final payment is due according to the terms stated in the applicable agreement, invoice, or contract. Terry Hunt Dev may pause work, delay delivery, withhold launch, restrict access to unpaid deliverables, or suspend support if payments are late, incomplete, disputed, or not received according to the agreed payment schedule.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely feedback, approvals, content, credentials, access permissions, brand assets, hosting access, domain access, repository access, analytics access, third-party account access, and any other materials required to complete the project.

Delays caused by missing information, incomplete content, unavailable access, delayed approvals, third-party issues, client-side changes, or failure to respond may affect timelines, launch dates, reporting, and deliverables.

Clients are responsible for reviewing all deliverables, content, functionality, forms, tracking, integrations, and website pages before approval or launch.

6. Third-Party Services

Projects may involve third-party platforms, tools, software, hosting providers, APIs, plugins, content management systems, analytics tools, payment processors, email platforms, automation tools, repositories, or other external services.

Terry Hunt Dev is not responsible for outages, pricing changes, service limitations, API changes, account restrictions, platform errors, policy changes, data loss, security incidents, downtime, or discontinued services caused by third-party providers.

Third-party costs, including hosting, domains, software licenses, plugins, paid tools, subscriptions, API usage, transaction fees, and platform fees, are the client's responsibility unless otherwise stated in writing.

7. AI-Assisted Services and Content

Terry Hunt Dev may use artificial intelligence tools, including OpenAI services such as ChatGPT, Codex, and the OpenAI API, to assist with planning, code generation and review, debugging, testing, documentation, research, content drafts, SEO analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.

Terry Hunt Dev remains responsible for the professional judgment applied to AI-assisted work. Terry Hunt Dev reviews, edits, and tests that output as appropriate for the agreed scope before relying on it, delivering it to a client, or publishing it. AI output may contain errors, omissions, insecure suggestions, or outdated information. Clients remain responsible for reviewing and approving deliverables as described in Section 5.

Use of AI tools does not change Terry Hunt Dev's confidentiality obligations. Terry Hunt Dev does not intentionally submit passwords, API keys, private keys, payment card information, regulated personal data, or confidential client information to an AI service unless the client has authorized that processing and appropriate safeguards are in place.

A client that prohibits or limits AI-assisted tools must provide that restriction in writing before work begins. Terry Hunt Dev will confirm whether the restriction can be accepted. Any agreed restriction must be included in the applicable proposal, statement of work, or client agreement and may affect project scope, timing, or pricing.

Content published on terryhunt.dev may be created with AI assistance and is reviewed by Terry Hunt Dev before publication. Terry Hunt Dev remains responsible for the final published content. OpenAI and other AI providers operate under their own terms, policies, and data controls.

8. SEO Reporting, Analytics, and Traffic Disclaimer

Terry Hunt Dev may provide SEO reports, analytics summaries, traffic insights, technical SEO recommendations, and performance reporting when access is granted to the necessary tools and platforms.

SEO reporting may require access to Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, website analytics tools, SEO platforms, traffic dashboards, keyword tracking tools, tag managers, content management systems, hosting platforms, or other systems needed to review website performance.

Terry Hunt Dev may provide automated SEO or traffic reports on a seven-day, twenty-eight-day, monthly, or custom reporting schedule when included in the applicable client agreement, proposal, invoice, or statement of work.

SEO reports are provided for informational and strategic purposes only. Terry Hunt Dev does not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic increases, keyword positions, impressions, clicks, conversions, leads, sales, revenue, or business results.

Search engine performance can be affected by many factors outside of Terry Hunt Dev's control, including algorithm updates, market competition, client content changes, technical issues, third-party platforms, advertising activity, website history, user behavior, and search engine policies.

The client is responsible for providing accurate access, permissions, account credentials, tracking setup, and platform availability when SEO reporting or analytics review is requested. Terry Hunt Dev is not responsible for incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable reports caused by missing access, incorrect permissions, broken tracking, third-party outages, client-side changes, or data limitations within analytics platforms.

Any SEO recommendations, reports, or traffic insights provided by Terry Hunt Dev are not a promise of future performance and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of results.

9. Repository Activity Reports and Development Updates

Terry Hunt Dev may provide development updates, repository activity reports, GitHub activity summaries, commit summaries, pull request updates, issue tracking summaries, deployment notes, and other project progress reports when included in the applicable client agreement, proposal, invoice, or statement of work.

Repository reports may be generated manually or through automated workflows using GitHub, GitHub Actions, project management tools, analytics tools, automation platforms, or other approved systems connected to the client's repository or development workflow.

When repository reporting is included, Terry Hunt Dev may provide daily, weekly, seven-day, twenty-eight-day, monthly, or custom reporting summaries based on the agreed project needs. These reports may include completed work, commits, branches, pull requests, merged changes, open issues, resolved issues, deployment activity, documentation updates, bug fixes, feature progress, technical blockers, and recommended next steps.

The client is responsible for providing the access, permissions, repository visibility, credentials, organization approvals, and third-party tool access needed to generate accurate reports. Terry Hunt Dev is not responsible for incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate reports caused by missing permissions, restricted repository access, deleted branches, unavailable third-party services, client-side changes, private organization restrictions, API limits, or platform outages.

Repository activity reports are provided for transparency and project communication only. They do not replace the client agreement, project scope, invoice terms, acceptance process, or final deliverable requirements unless expressly stated in writing.

14. Security and Access

Terry Hunt Dev may request access to websites, hosting platforms, repositories, DNS accounts, CMS dashboards, analytics tools, automation platforms, email systems, or third-party services to complete agreed work.

Additional support may require a new agreement, maintenance plan, hourly billing, or separate invoice.

16. Project Changes and Revisions

Project revisions are limited to the terms stated in the applicable client agreement. Requests outside the approved scope may require additional billing, timeline adjustments, or a separate agreement.

Terry Hunt Dev may decline requests that are outside scope, technically unreasonable, unsafe, unlawful, unethical, incompatible with the project stack, or likely to harm performance, accessibility, security, SEO, maintainability, or user experience.

Terry Hunt Dev reserves the right to preserve communications, refuse further contact, report serious threats or unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities, and take any reasonable action necessary to protect personal safety, business operations, and project integrity.
